The Human Resources Department is currently looking for a Staff Development Specialist/Senior Specialist. This position reports to the Director of Relations & Development. It is a central position based in Beirut Campus with required commutes to Byblos Campus.
Role Summary:
The Staff Development Specialist/Senior Specialist is responsible for coordinating all University staff training and development activities.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assists in identifying training and development needs within the University.
- Compiles a database of training seminars providers and their detailed service offerings.
- Assists in designing training curriculum and programs to include external training and internal training through available resources within the University (CEP, schools, etc.…)
- Assists in conducting yearly training needs assessment based on staff performance appraisal results and feedback from unit heads.
- Assists in developing and implementing yearly training budget and plan.
- Assists in forecasting 3 to 5 years training budget and plans.
- Assists in developing University guidelines for various training formats.
- Assists in negotiating contracts with trainers, including approved training formats, desired training outcomes, fees and expenses.
- Coordinates the scheduling and delivery of training sessions across the University.
- Monitors the performance of external and internal training service providers.
- Assists in evaluating training and development programs, ensuring that statuary training requirements and desired outcomes are met, amending and revising programs as necessary.
- Where necessary, develops training documentations, presentations, and materials; works with specialists and University entities for specific details.
- Provides written reports, data analysis, recommendations, and presentations to management as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business from a renowned university, preferably in Human Resources or Management.
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness with attention to details in performing work duties.
- Well-developed High level interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral.
- Service excellence and customer focus.
- Sound analytical thinking and critical judgment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent team player with a commitment to building a positive team spirit.
