The Human Resources Department is currently looking for a Staff Recruitment Manager. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources. It is a central position based in Beirut Campus with required commutes to Byblos Campus.
Role Summary
The Staff Recruitment Manager is responsible for managing all staff recruitment activities ensuring that the institution’s needs for qualified non-teaching staff are met in the most efficient manner and in compliance with the approved recruitment procedure.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaises with heads of requesting entities regarding their recruitment needs for non-teaching staff.
- Initiates the recruitment process in compliance with the recruitment procedure and University staffing budget.
- Develops job announcements and publishes vacancies on LAU’s website and various media, in line with the approved guidelines and PIQs.
- Supervises the receipt of employment applications and evaluation of received CVs.
- Shortlists suitable candidates in light of the job requirements’ and the needs of the requesting entity, and conducts reference checks and preliminary screening interviews when necessary.
- Manages interviews scheduling with shortlisted candidates and the recruitment panel, and acts as a facilitator during the interviewing process.
- Documents the recruitment and interviewing process including the recommendations of the recruitment panel.
- Ensures the proper closing of every recruitment process, appropriate filing of documents, and sending apology emails to non-selected candidates.
- Acts as a focal point of contact with head of departments, deans & managers regarding recruitment processes of non-teaching staff, advising on recruitment procedure and methodologies.
- Responds to Management enquiries and data requests, and generates regular and ad-hoc reports, as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business from a renowned university, preferably in Human Resources or Management. A master’s degree is a plus
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle’s I-Recruitment or similar recruitment software
- Excellent communication skills
