Academic Update and Support Measures - March 4-6
Dear Students,
I hope this message finds you and your families safe.
Following yesterday’s message, I am writing to confirm our academic arrangements for this week. We understand that this period may be stressful and uncertain for many of you, and we want to ensure that you feel supported both academically and personally.
To support your academic progress during these difficult circumstances, the following temporary measures will be in effect from Wednesday, March 4 through Friday, March 6, 2026:
- Lecture-based courses will be delivered online.
- Synchronous sessions will be recorded and shared, so you may access them at your convenience if you are unable to attend live.
- Laboratories and other experiential courses will be suspended this week.
- Studios and clinical courses will receive specific guidance directly from your respective school deans.
In addition, no exams or graded assessments will take place this week. Our intention is to ease pressure and allow you the space to focus on learning without the added stress of evaluation during this time.
We recognize that each of you may be navigating different circumstances, and we remain committed to fairness, flexibility, and compassion in our approach. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully and will keep you informed promptly should any adjustments to these arrangements become necessary.
Please continue to check your LAU email and course platforms regularly for updates and guidance from your instructors and schools.
Most importantly, please take care of yourselves and your families. Your safety, well-being, and academic progress remain at the heart of every decision we make.
Sincerely,
George E. Nasr, Ph.D.
