Academic Update - March 23-27, 2026

Dear Students,

We hope that you and your loved ones continue to remain safe during these challenging times.

Further to my previous communications, I would like to share an update on the teaching and learning arrangements for the week of Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27, 2026.

Please note that Monday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 25 are university holidays, and no classes will be held on these days.

Our priority remains to ensure continuity of learning while maintaining flexibility and supporting your well-being.

Taking into account the current circumstances and building on last week’s arrangements, the following will apply:

Lecture-Based Classes

Beirut Campus

Byblos Campus

Experiential Courses (Labs, Studios, Clinical Courses)

Experiential courses will continue to be held on campus, where possible, in line with Ministry guidance. Schools will communicate specific arrangements.
If you are unable to attend in person, appropriate make-up opportunities or alternative arrangements will be provided.

Exams and Assessments

Exams and assessments will continue as scheduled outside of the holiday days.

Academic Deadlines and Flexibility

Previously communicated adjustments to academic deadlines remain in effect. Faculty will continue to exercise flexibility, taking into account individual student circumstances where needed.

Campus Resources

Campus facilities, including libraries, will remain available in accordance with announced schedules. Please verify hours of operation in advance, as changes may occur.
Regular university transportation will be provided whenever conditions permit; students are advised to check schedules in advance.

We recognize that many of you continue to navigate uncertain circumstances, and we remain committed to supporting you as best we can.

We will continue to monitor developments closely and will provide updates as needed.

Please take care of yourselves and stay safe.

Sincerely,

George E. Nasr, Ph.D.
