Update on Classes, Exams, Instructional Arrangements
Dear Students,
I hope this message finds you and your families safe.
As we navigate these exceptionally difficult circumstances, the University continues to monitor developments closely, with the safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty, staff, and the entire LAU community as our foremost priority. At the same time, we remain committed to supporting your learning and ensuring that you are able to continue your studies in a manner that is fair, flexible, and responsive to the challenges many of you may be facing.
After careful consideration of the current situation, the following academic measures will be implemented:
- No educational activities will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
- No exams will be held this week (March 3-7, 2026).
- Lecture-type courses are expected to move online starting Wednesday, March 4, pending final confirmation, which will be communicated tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3.
Courses requiring in-person components, including laboratories, studios, clinicals, and performance-based courses, will receive specific guidance from their respective schools.
Schools will communicate course-specific arrangements directly to students and faculty. Individual exception requests do not need to be submitted to the Provost’s Office at this time, as schools will work with students and faculty to implement appropriate academic accommodations consistent with university guidelines.
