Health System Chief Financial Officer

The Finance, Health System Department is looking for a Health System Chief Finance Officer, reporting to the Vice President for Finance – CFO (VPF).

Role Summary

The HS-CFO is responsible for assisting the VPF in providing the required financial support to health services teams both in Lebanon and internationally. S/he will play an important role in all related financial matters including, but not limited to, financial feasibilities and planning, financial modeling, projects pricing, tariffing, standardization of financial strategies and systems related to the Integrated Health System and Health Services. This role will also be involved in the development of strategies and integrated execution plans that achieve clearly defined business development and health services objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1.       Financial Leadership & Strategic Oversight:

2.       Pricing, Revenue Cycle & Collections:

o    Build and control a healthy and competitive system for billing surcharges aimed at ensuring realistic profitability and safeguarding the institution’s image, with proper controls for deductions and efficient collection processes

o    Assist in developing special pricing models for LAU community patients, enhancing the pricing system at the hospitals to cater to community needs

o    Negotiate special terms with LAU’s health insurance provider based on a thorough assessment of cost

o    Negotiate tariffs and pricing models with insurers, TPAs, and other agencies, and assess the hospitals’ price competitiveness based on geographic location and quality of services

o    Oversee charge capture accuracy, denial management, and appeals processes to maximize net revenue recovery while maintaining compliance

Minimum Required Qualifications

Work Schedule

This role follows a standard Monday–Friday work schedule. However, due to the nature of managerial responsibilities, flexibility is required. The position may occasionally require availability after regular working hours, on weekends, or on holidays to support operational needs, ensure business continuity, and meet critical deadlines.
