VIP+ Entrepreneurship Faculty – Internal to LAU


The LAU-TLP team is inviting applications from energetic and driven full-time faculty to receive the Create-X training by Georgia Tech and then deliver the entrepreneurial elements of the VIP+ courses.


The U.S. Department of State, Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) – Tomorrow’s Leaders College to Work Pipeline (TLP), in collaboration with the American University of Beirut (AUB) and Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), offers a demonstrated pipeline conducive to gainful employment to currently enrolled TL students and helps students link with potential employers to maximize their employability mainly in their home countries answering TL main mission: Help youth in the MENA region to be agents of change in their community.

The LAU TLP ( model will be based on a transformative approach to enhancing higher education by engaging undergraduate and graduate students in faculty-industry co-mentored, multidisciplinary real-world projects. Students will work within Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP+) that are led by faculty, coached by graduate students, and co-mentored by industry partners. Students will also get the opportunity to participate in internships, workshops and presentations by distinguished leaders and will be exposed to entrepreneurship and start-ups.

To deliver the latter entrepreneurial and start-up knowledge, a team of selected LAU faculty will undergo training by Georgia Tech’s Create-X team, whose main goals are to instill entrepreneurial confidence in students and empower them to launch successful startups. The Georgia Tech - CREATE-X model consists of the programmatic elements of LEARN-MAKE-LAUNCH ( ).

Desirable Qualifications:

Tenured faculty at LAU. Some experience in start-ups and entrepreneurship is a plus.
