Chef, Hospitality & Tourism Management

The Department of Hospitality and Marketing at the Adnan Kassar School of Business at the Lebanese American University (LAU) invites applications for a full-time chef effective fall 2019.

Applicants must hold at least a BS, but preferably, a MS in Hospitality Management or Culinary Art. The applicant must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the culinary field. This position requires teaching courses at the undergraduate level, especially in the areas of Food Preparations, Baking and Pastry, and being involved in service activities. The applicant must have (a) excellent cooking skills, (b) be passionate about culinary arts, (c) keep up with current culinary trends, (d) ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen, and (e) exhibit effective communication skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to contribute to the mission of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program, which seeks to prepare graduates to meet the needs of the industry and become leading professionals in their field. The mission is achieved through sound theoretical and practical course work, and innovative learning activities, industry engagement and service learning. Salary and fringe benefits are competitive.

The Adnan Kassar School of Business is AACSB accredited and offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Department of Hospitality Management and Marketing offers a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management, the only AACSB accredited hospitality programs in Lebanon.
