The Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing (ARCSON) at the Lebanese American University, Byblos Campus, invites applications for faculty positions at all professorial ranks. Two new full-time positions will be available starting October 2012. All candidates must have a B.S. in Nursing and a master’s degree in nursing or related field. Candidates for the tenure track – investigator focus must hold a Ph.D. in nursing or related field. Priority needs for teaching are in critical care nursing and psychiatric/mental health nursing. Successful candidates will teach in classroom and clinical settings, engage in research/scholarship, and perform academic services to the University and School.
The new School has enrolled two classes of B.S.N. students already; the first class will graduate in 2013. The School was recently accepted by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) as a candidate for initial accreditation of the B.S.N. program. Faculty who join the school will play an instrumental role in continuing program development and preparing for accreditation and also will collaborate with faculty in LAU’s medicine, nutrition, pharmacy, and social work programs to develop interdisciplinary education and research. The School works closely with the Department of Nursing at University Medical Center-Rizk Hospital, our principal clinical partner. Opportunities for a joint appointment with the Hospital may be pursued.

Candidates interested in a tenure track- investigator focus position must provide one or more sample research papers.
