The Department of Finance and Accounting at the Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB), Lebanese American University (LAU), invites applications for Instructor or Senior Instructor of Practice positions in Finance or Accounting. The expected start date is September 2026.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold a terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field. Candidates holding an MBA or a specialized Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields, with over 10 years of senior-level industry experience, are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates holding a Ph.D. or DBA may be considered for an Assistant Professor of Practice appointment, subject to qualifications and experience.

Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching or instructional delivery at the university level or in professional settings. Prior university teaching experience is preferred. Candidates should be willing to teach on either the Beirut or Byblos campus, and possibly both, depending on departmental needs.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance and/or Accounting. They are expected to develop and deliver applied, industry-relevant course content using real-world cases, simulations, and financial tools. In addition, they should engage with the finance and accounting industry to support experiential learning opportunities, including internships, guest lectures, and practitioner panels. They are also expected to actively contribute to the promotion and development of the Finance and Accounting programs and to participate in departmental, school, and university committees and activities.
