The Department of Natural Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a part-time faculty position in the field of Microbial Genomics. The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated faculty member who is committed to teaching and research. Prospective candidates must have earned a PhD in Microbiology or a related field. The successful candidate should have research experience in molecular biology and particularly next-generation sequencing. Proficiency in command-line tools for bioinformatics (Perl, Python, or R/Bioconductor), and experience applying these tools in the analysis of microbial genomic datasets, particularly those generated by high-throughput sequencing.
