Clinical Simulation Center Supervisor

The School of Medicine is currently looking for a Clinical Simulation Center Supervisor reporting to the Director of the LAU Clinical Simulation Center. This position requires presence on both Byblos campus and LAU CSC satellite site in Achrafieh, with occasional commuting to the LAU Medical Centers.

Role Summary

The supervisor is mainly responsible for overseeing the activities and day-to-day operations of the center, as well as scheduling, facilitating and administering the implementation of the experiential learning activities. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining the center’s equipment and furnishings.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

                o    Ensure that needed equipment, supplies, and props are available

                o    Schedule appropriate IT staff and other logistics

                o    Assist in student instruction, debriefing, and assessment, as needed

                o    Issue courses certificates

               o    Identify learning activities that meet educational objectives

               o    Prepare simulation scenarios for standardized patients, medium- and high-fidelity simulation, and task trainers

               o    Develop student assessment materials

               o    Facilitate and deliver courses when applicable

Minimum Required Qualifications

Work Schedule

This position follows a standard Monday to Friday work schedule, with occasional requirements for after-hours, weekend, or holiday attendance to maintain business operations or provide support. During the summer period, when working hours are reduced, staff members are required to participate in a rotation system to ensure that the coverage matches the original regular schedule, based on operational needs.
