Data Analyst
The Human Resources Department is currently looking for a Data Analyst reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources (AVP HR). This is a central position that is primarily based on Beirut campus, with occasional commuting to Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Data Analyst is mainly responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting Human Resources data to support and facilitate data-driven decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. This role involves generating reports, analyzing HR metrics, and developing dashboards to and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to recruitment, retention, performance, and employee engagement, among others.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Collects, cleans, and organizes HR data from various sources, ensuring high levels of data integrity and reliability
- Analyzes complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that align with the department’s strategic goals
- Examines historical data and patterns across multiple sources within the University
- Translates findings into charts, pivot tables, and PowerPoint presentations for use in strategic reports designed for non-technical audiences
- Develops and maintains interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track KPIs and support decision-making
- Analyzes and interprets HR metrics and KPIs, such as turnover rates, time-to-hire, diversity metrics, employee satisfaction scores, and more
- Collaborates with HR teams to understand reporting requirements and convert them into informative data outputs
- Provides actionable insights and regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensures compliance with institutional policies and legal standards related to data privacy, security, and accessibility
- Continuously assesses and enhances data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements using data-driven insights
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis or a related field
- Highly skilled in data analytics software such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or Tableau
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and database management systems
- Ability to uphold a high degree of confidentiality regarding sensitive records and information
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other offices
