The Global Affairs Department is currently looking for a Deputy Director of the Academy of Continuing Education (ACE) reporting to the Director of ACE under the Business Development & Global Affairs Entity. This is a central position based on Beirut Campus with occasional presence on Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Deputy Director of ACE is responsible for managing the internal affairs of the ACE office, the social media strategy, along with business duties. The duties include overseeing internal ACE organization and management, liaising with ACE Centers across Lebanon as well as other LAU internal offices.
Additionally, he/she will provide assistance to the Director of ACE on various matters. The Deputy Director will also assist in coaching and advising potential ACE participants, developing, writing and implementing business workflows at ACE, and liaising/ interviewing part-time staff members.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees the ACE office: follows up on internal procedures, office etiquette, and LAU rules and regulations
- Supervises ACE’s contractors, their attendance, and quality of work
- Defines and coordinates ACE’s social media strategy
- Assists in contract drafting of MOA’S, proposals, bidding contracts, memos, etc.
- Liaises with ACE internal and external offices
- Oversees Programs Enrollment Management
- Handles ACE faculty administration (faculty applications, faculty evaluations, and faculty course files) in coordination with ACE Director
- Provides advisory services and guidance to new students regarding ACE programs
- Ensures instructors’ evaluations are filled and follows up on students’ feedback
- Supports in business development activities in coordination with ACE Director
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Marketing, education or any related field
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience, out of which 4 are in the Education Sector and 3 are in a supervisory capacity
- Knowledge of social media management and social media marketing
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Strong team player with a commitment to building a positive team spirit
- Focus on Quality and excellence
- Ability to uphold organizational values and maintain confidentiality
