Financial Aid Officer - Byblos
The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office is currently looking for a Financial Aid Officer reporting to the Financial Aid Manager. This position that is based on Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Financial Aid Officer is mainly responsible for executing various tasks in one or more areas to determine file completeness, maintain applicants’ records and provide informative guidance to applicants, in accordance with established University standards and guidelines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Collects, reviews, and processes financial aid and scholarship applications, including the creation of applicant files, verification of submitted documents, and preparation of required checklists
- Enters and maintains accurate applicant data in the financial aid system
- Conducts preliminary eligibility assessments
- Coordinates and schedules applicant interviews
- Responds to inquiries from applicants/parents
- Supports the implementation and administration of financial aid projects
- Assists in various office initiatives and process improvement efforts
- Prepares and reports on data as requested
- Participates in calling campaigns to help gather data on student enrollment
- Participates in webinars and represents the office during open days to guide prospective students on the financial aid process, as needed
- Reports periodically on the status and progress of work to the direct supervisor
- Ensures the proper maintenance and safekeeping of personally handled documents and files
- Provides backup support when needed to ensure continuity of operations
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned by the direct supervisor
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Accounting or related field
- Minimum one year of experience in an administrative or customer service capacity, with a preference for experience in an academic environment within a student servicing capacity
- Strong people skills with a collaborative approach
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Detail oriented with a focus on operational efficiency
- Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
- A pleasant, dynamic and patient character
Work Schedule
The standard work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with possible/ occasional attendance after hours and/or during weekends/holidays to ensure business continuity and support office events.
