FMIC Coordinator
The LAU Fouad Makhzoumi Innovation Center (FMIC) is currently looking for a FMIC Coordinator reporting to the Director of the FMIC. This is a central position that requires presence on both Beirut and Byblos campuses.Role Summary
The FMIC Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support for the Innovation Center’s programs and activities. This role involves handling the day-to-day operations of the center as well as coordinating and scheduling sessions, activities and events and maintaining records. The coordinator will work closely with the Program Manager and Director to ensure the efficient running of the center.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Handles the center’s administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and correspondence
- Assists in organizing the programs running at the center, including but not limited to, class/training/ workshop sessions, events, and meetings, including logistics and participant coordination
- Organizes and facilitates workflow to ensure smooth program execution
- Coordinates with various stakeholders to ensure proper onboarding and support of startups, so they are equipped to thrive
- Provides support to startups and entrepreneurs as needed, including responding to inquiries and providing resources
- Handles office workflows to ensure a productive workspace (administrative documents, facility planning, logistics, maintenance, supplies and equipment)
- Handles the office phone system, answering and dispatching calls when needed
- Maintains and updates the center’s database of startups, mentors, and partners
- Assists in monitoring budgets and processing financial transactions
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in administrative or coordination roles, preferably within an educational or entrepreneurial setting
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
- MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for supporting entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives
