Foreman, P&R
The Facilities Management Department / Planning & Renovations Office is currently looking for a Foreman, P&R reporting to the Renovations Project Manager. This is a central position that is primarily based on Byblos Campus.Role Summary
The Foreman, P&R is responsible for supervising ongoing renovations works.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors the day-to-day renovation projects on-site activities ensuring adherence to schedules, safety protocols and quality standards
- Ensures that the work activities are being implemented by the contractors as requested
- Ensures that all the tasks performed on site are approved prior to execution
- Inspects work progress, attends to construction queries and conveys related instructions to assist with difficult situations or technical problems
- Communicates project updates to the Renovations Project Manager and ensures alignment with project plans
- Ensures compliance with university policies, building codes, and safety regulations
- Supports the Director of P&R during the project preparation phase with:
o Drafting preliminary Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
o Preparing cost estimates for renovation projects
o Assessing all costs related to renovation projects, from initial budgeting to final financial reconciliation
- Ensures that the contractors’ representatives handle all cleanup tasks before they leave and that all tools, equipment and materials are put away or removed from site
- Validates that all locks are in place and secured
- Provides backup support when needed to ensure continuity of operations
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Technical Baccalaureate (BT3) degree, with relevant specialization (civil/electrical/ mechanical/plumbing/land surveying); TS is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of on-site experience in a senior related role. Experience with quantity surveying is required
- Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to drive the project and communicate at varying levels
- Working knowledge of construction works for all trades
- Knowledge of general construction safety standards including personal protective devices, hazardous materials, and power tool safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with attention to details
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office (knowledge in using formulas in Excel is a must) and AutoCAD

Physical demands: Ability to work in various conditions
Work Schedule: This position follows a normal work schedule (Monday to Saturday), with possible/occasional attendance after hours and/or during weekends (or holidays) to supervise ongoing works.
