HES II Outreach Support & Multimedia Specialist
The Community Service & Engagement Office is currently looking for an HES II Outreach Support & Multimedia Specialist reporting to the Senior Director of Community Service & Engagement / HES II Project Director. This position requires physical presence on both Beirut and Byblos campus during LAU operating hours.Schedule: Full Time equivalent to 40 hours/week
Role Summary
The HES II Outreach Support & Multimedia Specialist designs, edits, and integrates digital content, graphics, animation, photography, illustrations, and other multimedia visualization and imaging products for the Community Service & Engagement (CSE) Office with regards to the HES grant.
Additionally, he/she develops and disseminates information and promotional material internally including guides, brochures, newsletters, and presentations for all communication channels including website, print material and social media.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Creates ideas and presents them in a clear and creative manner
- Uses illustrative material to produce layout design concepts
- Develops graphics and layouts for logos, banners, workshops, and website
- Retains archive of images, photos, or previous work and projects
- Produces still and animated graphics for news purposes
- Generates animated graphics
- Photographs events and assembles photos for reporting purposes
- Monitors USP documentaries and posters in order to align with USAID branding and marketing plan
- Responsible for monthly magazine
- Accountable for social media accounts
- Liaises with LAU Stratcom department
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Experienced in Photoshop and other visual design programs
- Demonstrated graphic design skills
- Creative and innovative
- Good photography skills
- Know-how in operating still and video cameras
- Able to work without constant supervision
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
- Ability to take initiative
- High Organization skills
- Team player
