Role Summary
The Multimedia Specialist works closely with the Director of Creative Services to generate creative material to enrich the photography and videography libraries, ensure that the libraries are well organized with easy access, and cover events upon request.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains the LAU image bank; receives and sorts the image bank fi les and folders; removes inadequate photos and keeps the highest quality images worthy of use in publications, online and social media
- Enables the searching and cataloguing of images; adds tags and information leads to facilitate image searches
- Conducts ad hoc image searches for magazine articles, web articles, design projects, social media posts; provides selection to requesters
- Creates original photography/videography of events, conferences, interviews, or other tasks as required by team leader
- Creates original audiovisual projects, edits projects, adds supers and visual aids, audio track
- Supervises the production of outsourced audiovisual projects, ensures they are on brief and on time
- Coordinates with professional and student photographers, student assistants, and other sources of photo/video materials for the timely coverage of events, conferences, and seminars
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience (workingwith a production house or a photographer, with rolessuch as fi lm director, director of photography,producer, editor, on-site photographer, or eventphotographer)
- Strong organization skills
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Aftereffect and other visual design programs
- Strong in photography/filming
- Good editing skills
- Know-how in operating still and video cameras
- Team player with strong communication and presentation skills
