Prospect Researcher
The Advancement Entity / Advancement Operations Department is currently looking for a Prospect Researcher reporting to the Prospect Research Manager. This is a central position that is primarily based on Beirut campus, with occasional commuting to Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Prospect Researcher is mainly responsible for producing high-quality donor profiles, writing executive briefings, and collaborating with frontline fundraisers across Beirut and New York as well as the Advancement analytics team to ensure that research insights are accurate, timely, and actionable.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts in-depth research on individuals, corporations, and foundations using tools such as iWave, WealthEngine, LinkedIn, Foundation Directory Online, and public sources
- Writes detailed donor profiles, bios, and executive briefings for university leadership and fundraisers
- Monitors news, business activity, and philanthropic trends to identify new prospects and update existing records
- Serves as the primary research liaison to the frontline fundraisers
- Participates in regular prospect strategy meetings and provides tailored research to support cultivation and solicitation planning
- Helps fundraisers build and maintain strong, balanced portfolios aligned with campaign priorities
- Works closely with the Advancement team to ensure research data is accurately uploaded and maintained in Raiser’s Edge NXT
- Works closely with the prospect research team in New York
- Supports data hygiene, record enrichment, and the development of prospect tracking tools and dashboards
- Helps implement research protocols and ensure consistency across the research team
- Collaborates with the New York-based Researcher to ensure seamless global coverage and time zone coordination
- Supports the manager in developing research strategy, tools, and training materials
- Handles the filing and organization of work materials
- Prepares and reports on data as requested
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned by the direct supervisor
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in advancement research, prospect development, fundraising analytics or similar
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Arabic, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong MS Office skills
- Proficiency in prospect research tools and CRM systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT)
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones
- A proactive mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Intellectually curious and committed to continuous learning

Work Schedule
The standard work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with possible/ occasional attendance after hours and/or during weekends/holidays to ensure business continuity. This role requires collaboration across multiple time zones.
