Registration & Records Officer - Beirut
The Registrar’s Office is currently looking for a Registration & Records Officer reporting to the Associate Registrar. This position is based on Beirut Campus.Role Summary
The Registration & Records Officer is mainly responsible for assisting in the registration of students, maintaining academic records, checking and updating general student information on Banner, and receiving students’ requests and petitions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the online registration process for all students
- Ensures the proper implementation of the University Academic Rules and Procedures for online registration
- Maintains updated records of students’ directory
- Maintains active and inactive student files (digital and hard copies)
- Channels petitions and follows-up on progress
- Responds to routine inquiries from students, faculty and staff
- Retains students’ records and ensures integrity of academic history
- Assists in the orientation for new students
- Assists in the processing of intercampus transfers and Cross-registration to and from other institutions
- Assists in the end-of-term graduate students’ record updates, including academic standing adjustments
- Assists in the processing of requests and forms and updates Excel sheets for tracking petitions and requests
- Assists in the organization of rehearsal & commencement exercises
- Supports and back-ups other staff members in the office as needed
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, MIS or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a university setting
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong oral and written communication in English
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attentive to details
- Good interpersonal and Problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and charts)
- Knowledge of Banner is preferable
