The Human Resources Department is currently looking for a Staff Training Associate reporting to the Director of Staff Relations & Development (SR&D). This is a central position based on Beirut Campus with occasional presence on Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Staff Training Associate is primarily responsible for coordinating staff training and development activities and identifying training and development needs within the University.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts yearly training needs assessment based on staff performance appraisal results and feedback from unit heads
- Supports in forecasting yearly training budget and plans
- Develops and implements yearly training budget and plan in close coordination with the Director of SR&D
- Designs training curriculum and programs to include external training and internal training through available resources within the University (Schools, Academy of Continuing Education, etc.…)
- Compiles a database of training seminars providers along with their detailed service offerings
- Develops University guidelines for various training formats
- Negotiates contracts with trainers, including approved training formats, desired training outcomes, fees and expenses
- Coordinates the scheduling and delivery of training sessions across the University
- Monitors the performance of external and internal training service providers
- Evaluates training and development programs, ensuring that statuary training requirements and desired outcomes are met, amending and revising programs as necessary
- Develops training documentations, presentations, and materials; coordinates with specialists and University entities for specific details
- Provides written reports, data analysis, recommendations, and presentations to management as required
- Prepares and delivers different presentations to the Community
- Attends to daily communication from Community members regarding various issues/concerns and channels them appropriately to the concerned HR staff
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of work experience, out of which 3 years in a similar capacity
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent organizational skills to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness with attention to details in performing work duties
- Well-developed high level interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Advanced communications skills in English and Arabic (oral and written)
- Service excellence and customer focus orientation
- Sound analytical thinking and critical judgment
- Excellent team player with a commitment to building a positive team spirit
- Ability to uphold organizational values and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work under pressure
