Systems Manager, PP - Beirut
The Facilities Management Department / Physical Plant is currently looking for a Systems Manager, PP reporting to the Director of Operations & Maintenance. This position is based on Beirut Campus.Role Summary
The Systems Manager, PP is responsible for managing maintenance agreements and outsourced maintenance and repair services for the University as well as administering computer systems pertaining to the campus operations and maintenance.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages maintenance agreements and outsourced maintenance and repair services for university assets including but not limited to: office equipment, lab equipment, medical equipment and miscellaneous appliances
- Investigates with the end-user defect details and manages requests for outsourcing maintenance and repairs
- Manages and sets preventive maintenance schedules and repairs, negotiates the cost, secures needed budget approvals in coordination with the end users and the schools’ or entities’ schedules
- Prepares technical bidding documents for the schools, labs, and office equipment; evaluates received bids including analysis and prepares recommendations
- Prepares and processes the maintenance contracts in coordination with end users
- Performs life cycle cost analysis, evaluates and recommends purchases for schools/labs equipment, office equipment, and miscellaneous appliances
- Administers computer systems pertaining to the campus operations and maintenance division, such as: Computerized Maintenance Management System, CCTV System, Parking Management System, Building Management System and Access Control System
- Designs, coordinates, and leads the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) in coordination with the maintenance department and other entities
- Designs new CCTV projects and reviews/approves submitted CCTV designs by consultants
- Manages CCTV requests, prepares related technical bidding documents, evaluates received bids including analysis and makes recommendations. Manages the installation and maintenance of the cameras
- Monitors energy, water and fuel consumption and costs and prepares related reports
- Operates and maintains the Access Control System, Parking Management System, and Elevators Management System
- Provides on-the-job training and coaching for team members to enhance their skills and effectiveness
- Fosters a collaborative and inclusive team culture that prioritizes staff success
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Communications Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience, out of which 4 years in functional relevance and 3 years in a supervisory capacity
- Experience in CCTV Management Software, BMS, Access Control Management Software, AutoCad, and CMMS
- Low-Current Systems Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Strong people skills with a collaborative approach
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Detail oriented with a focus on operational efficiency
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
