Testing Center Coordinator - Beirut
The Enrollment Management Department / Testing Center is currently looking for a Testing Center Coordinator reporting to the Testing Center Manager. This position is based on Beirut campus with occasional commuting to Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Testing Center Coordinator is mainly responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of testing exams by handling proctoring and coordinating various testing activities. S/he will be customer-focused, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to maintaining the integrity of the testing process.
This position follows a normal work schedule (Monday to Friday), except when testing sessions are being conducted on Saturdays, with possible occasional attendance after hours to ensure adequate coverage and/or to provide backup during staff absences within the unit on both campuses.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates with concerned university offices and services to ensure the adequate reservations of facilities for the examinations and that testing sessions are conducted in a secure and safe environment
- Registers applicants for entrance examinations and ensures all test-takers meet the appropriate exam requirements in accordance with test center policies
- Proctors regular and special testing sessions ensuring a secure and controlled testing environment; notifies supervisor of any issues or testing irregularities that may arise during testing sessions
- Provides technical support to test-takers; addresses any matters related to the testing process
- Communicates effectively with test-takers to provide information regarding exam schedules, procedures, and regulations
- Provides exceptional customer service to test-takers, faculty, and staff, addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Acts as a point of contact for individuals seeking information about testing procedures and requirements
- Prepares exam packages, materials, and session requirements
- Handles the day-to-day operation of LAU’s Scranton scanning (that automates School exams grading) and generates reports for faculty/instructors
- Collects and organizes test-related data and records
- Maintains detailed records of test-taker information, exam results, and any incidents or irregularities that occur during testing
- Maintains confidentiality of testing materials and scores
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in testing, a student interfacing role, an academic administrative role, or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other applications
- Organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and testing integrity
- Exercise sound independent judgement
