The Department of Civil Engineering at the School of Engineering (located in Byblos, Lebanon) invites applications from outstanding individuals for a tenure-track faculty position in the field of Civil Engineering effective October 2014. The position will be at the assistant professor rank but qualified candidates with established research and teaching credentials may be considered at higher ranks.

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree and a Ph.D in Civil Engineering, (with preference given to those who have American experience in Teaching, Industry or PE holders). Postdoctoral experience and/or expertise in teaching will be an advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, build a strong research program, attract external funding, advise students, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in service activities in the department, School and the University.
