Part-Time Faculty Position in Computer and Electrical Engineering – Beirut and Byblos (Multiple Positions)

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applicants for part-time teaching positions in Beirut and/or Byblos campuses for the Fall 2026 semester (from August 31, 2026 to December 18, 2026). The department is seeking highly qualified and motivated faculty members to teach the following courses:
COE/ELE 595 – Capstone Design Project I
The course is devoted to the solution of open-ended engineering design projects with functional specifications and realistic constraints. This project provides a study of multiple solutions for a major design experience while accounting for multiple realistic constraints and relevant standards. The study is concluded by a written report and an oral presentation providing a course of action for the fulfilment of the project. This course is the first part of a two-course sequence (ELE/COE 595 and ELE/COE 596).
COE/ELE 596 – Capstone Design Project II
The course is devoted to the solution of open-ended engineering design projects with functional specifications and realistic constraints. This project provides a culminating major design experience that is concluded by a written report and an oral presentation. This course is the final part of a two-course sequence (ELE/COE 595 and ELE/COE 596).
Applicants must have obtained a PhD degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering by the time of appointment. Applicants must have good oral and written English communication skills. Priority will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience or relevant industrial experience.
Applicants should demonstrate strong experience in supervising comprehensive real-world engineering design projects. Expertise in contemporary technologies and tools is essential; this includes hardware systems, software development, artificial intelligence, database systems, and mobile applications. The role also requires a commitment to regular mentoring, continuous follow-up, and effective engagement with students, as well as the ability to guide and manage student teams successfully.
