The Department of Computer Science & Mathematics in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice in Bioinformatics. The Department is seeking highly qualified and motivated full-time faculty member who are committed to innovative teaching, research, and academic advising as well as institutional and community service.
Department Profile:
The Department of Computer Science & Mathematics is one of the five departments of the School of Arts and Sciences at LAU. It offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science, a B.S. in Bioinformatics, a B.S. in Mathematics, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied and Computational Mathematics and an M.S. in Computer Science.

Minimum Qualifications:
Prospective candidates must have earned a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related discipline from a well-recognized University and have an excellent publication record or excellent teaching record and/or industrial experience for the practice track. Recent graduates with exceptional academic credentials are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, the department is particularly interested in candidates with experience in evolutionary, comparative and functional genomics, as well as data science.
