Position Summary
The Department of Social and Education Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University anticipates periodic openings for part-time faculty in Education. These appointments will be made as the need arises to cover specific topics in the education program. This open pool is for potential openings in the future and does not guarantee availability. The salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate or graduate courses in Education
Qualifications (required at the time of application)
- A Ph.D./ Ed.D. in Education from a well-recognized university, in a field appropriate to the course to be offered (e.g., education, curriculum and Instruction, technology in schools, science education, early childhood education, etc.), or
- An MA/MS in Education, and
- A minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the college level.

Our department offers four undergraduate programs in political science, political science/international affairs, psychology, and education; 4 graduate programs in International Affairs, Interdisciplinary Gender Studies, Education and Migration studies; and five minors in conflict analysis and resolution, legal studies, political science/international affairs, psychology, and sociology. We offer as well 2 diplomas: Teaching Diploma and Diploma in Learning Disability and Giftedness.
