The department is seeking highly qualified and motivated faculty members to teach the following advanced hardware courses:
COE/ELE 599 – Analog Integrated Circuits
The goal of this course is to study the principles of design, analysis and simulation of analog integrated circuits, covering fundamental building blocks of analog circuits including operational amplifiers, switched capacitor circuits, oscillators, phase looked loops, data converters and secondary power sources. The course will focus on the analysis and optimization of performance parameters including noise, linearity, feedback and effect of mismatches. Students will also design and verify one basic analog circuit using Custom Compiler.
COE/ELE 599 – Digital Integrated Circuits
The goal of this course is to study the principles of design, analysis and simulation of digital integrated circuits. The course focuses on the basics of design, analysis and SPICE simulation of CMOS and bipolar combinational, static, dynamic and sequential digital logic circuits, input/output circuits as well as semiconductor memories. Attention will be given to optimization of performance parameters, including timing, propagation delays and stability.
Applicants must have obtained a PhD degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering by the time of appointment. Applicants must have good oral and written English communication skills. Priority will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience or relevant work experience.
Interested candidates should apply electronically by sending an email to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at gretta.kabalan@lau.edu.lb with the subject “Computer Hardware Part-Time Faculty Fall 2026 Application” and including the following attachments:
