The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applicants for part-time teaching positions in Byblos campus for the Spring 2024 semester (from January 15, 2024 to May 17, 2024). The department is seeking highly qualified and motivated faculty members to teach one or more of the below courses:
- ELE 423 – Electric Machines Lab
Description: This course covers the following experiments to study various aspects of electric machines and power systems: fundamentals of electrical power technology; alternating currents; power and impedance in ac circuits; three-phase circuits; single-phase and three-phase transformers; fundamentals of rotating machines; dc motors and generators; ac induction motors; three-phase synchronous generators and motors.
Qualifications: The applicant must have obtained a BE degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
- COE 201 – Computer Proficiency
Description: This course covers word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software, internet, e-mail, database, and web design.
Qualifications: The applicant must have obtained a BE degree in Computer Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
- COE 554 – Computer Vision and Deep Learning
Description: This course is concerned with understanding the fundamentals of computer vision and deep learning with applications in visual classification and processing.
Qualifications: The applicant must have obtained a PhD degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
- ELE 552 – Digital Image and Video Processing and Compression
Description: This course is concerned with understanding the fundamentals of digital image and video perception, representation, processing, understanding, and compression.
Qualifications: The applicant must have obtained a PhD degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
Applicants must have good oral and written English communication skills. Priority will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience or relevant work experience.
