Position Summary
The Department of Physical Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a part-time faculty position in the field of Organic Chemistry effective Spring 2027. The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated faculty member who is committed to innovative teaching. Active engagement in research is a plus. Prospective candidates must have earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field. The successful candidate(s) is/are expected to teach Organic Chemistry lab courses on Beirut campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate Organic Chemistry Laboratory.
- Engage in innovative teaching methods.
- Provide laboratory sessions rich in student engagement.
Qualifications
- PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field.
- Evidence of successful university teaching.
- Good written and verbal English communication.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Active engagement in research is a plus.
