The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Lebanese American University (LAU) School of Pharmacy invites applications for a part-time faculty position to develop and teach up to two 1-credit electives within the PHA567 series, focusing on advocacy, leadership, professional skills, talent development, and community outreach preferably incorporating community engagement components.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop course(s)
- Prepare course materials, assessment and learning activities
- Facilitate case studies discussions
- Act as a role model to the students in terms of communication, teamwork and ethical judgement
- Mentor students
- Provide constructive feedback
Candidate Qualifications
Education and Training and experience
- B.S pharmacy and/or PharmD
- 10+ years of experience in pharmacy administration, operation, management, and leadership
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Competencies
- Experience with pharmacy operation and management
- Assessment and accreditation standards (e.g., ACPE or equivalent).
- Knowledge of contemporary ethical, legal, and regulatory issues in pharmacy practice.
- Ability to engage students through active learning and case-based teaching methods.
- Experience in educational quality improvement.
- Conducting Performance Improvement Projects
