Position Summary
The Department of Psychology and Education in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University (LAU) invites applicants to a part time instructor position. The department is interested in highly qualified and motivated applicants, with expertise in Psychology. Applicants should have previous teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more undergraduate psychology courses
- Evaluate and provide timely feedback on students’ assignments, presentations, and projects
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A PhD in Psychology from a recognized University.
- An M.A. in Psychology or equivalent with two to three years teaching experience will be considered.
- Good communication skills and command of the English language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in active learning techniques

The Department of Psychology and Education currently offers programs led by a team of faculty from various backgrounds, from clinicians and researchers to experts in developmental and social and cultural psychology, among others. It also enables students to acquire a general theoretical background for future field experiences and to develop new professional skills in the field of education.
Our approach is based on the scientist-practitioner model, committed to instilling a critical approach in students and building bridges between theory and practice. Students will have the opportunity to apply their learning, in both research and practice, while having the possibility of pursuing a minor in any field of their interest.
