Job Type: Part time
Job Description: To serve as a clinical educator for pharmacy students in their introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experience. The preceptor will supervise, mentor and provide experiential teaching in the inpatient setting on the internal medicine floor.
Main responsibilities:
- Supervise students
- Provide structured clinical education
- Serve as a facilitator for beside teaching
- Facilitate case discussions
- Act as a role model to the students in terms of communication, teamwork and clinical judgement
- Provide constructive feedback to students
- Evaluate the students and grade them at the end of the rotation
Candidate Qualifications
- Education and Training and experience
- PGY1 and/or PGY 2 residency training -ASHP accredited with a practice area in internal medicine with a minimum of two years of experience post residency
- Ability to teach within the specialty area in experiential settings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

The LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital
