The Department of Art & Design in the School of Architecture & Design at the Lebanese American University invites applications for a full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant/ Associate Professor of Practice in Fashion Design, depending on experience and qualifications, for Academic Year 2020-21.

The successful candidate should be able to teach senior design studios, from research and design all the way through to garment manufacture. The applicant should also be able to contribute significantly to the development of the program, participate on committees, and support students in developing their portfolios for careers in design, covering one or more of these areas of focus: menswear, womenswear, apparel design, tailoring, textiles, contour/ sportswear. The successful candidate should also be able to work with an existing team of faculty and staff, striving for excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree in Fashion Design, in addition to teaching experience. This position will be open in Fall 2020, starting in Mid-August. The contract is a yearly contract, renewed on a yearly basis pending mutual satisfaction.
