Tenure-track Strategic Faculty hire in “Environmental Engineering”, “Renewable Energy” or “Natural Hazards”

The School of Engineering, housing eight engineering programs, at the Lebanese American University (LAU) is seeking highly qualified applicants for a full-time tenure-track strategic faculty hire in one of the three following areas identified among the strategic research areas for the school:

  1. Environmental Engineering and Water Resources
  2. Renewable Energy
  3. Natural Hazards

The position will be at the assistant professor rank, but qualified candidates with established teaching and research credentials will be considered at higher ranks.

Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. degree in Engineering. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in one of the listed research areas and to collaborate with other members of the research cluster. The successful candidate is also expected to apply for extramural funding and supervise students and postdoctoral researchers, in addition to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The teaching duties might cover the Byblos campus, Beirut campus or both depending on the needs of the school.
