IT Support Technician - Beirut
The IT Support Office / Information Technology Department is currently looking for an IT Support Technician, reporting to the IT Support Manager. This position is based on Beirut Campus.Role Summary
The IT Support Technician is primarily responsible for providing general IT technical support as well as operating multimedia equipment in smart classrooms and distance learning classes and making it available in support of all University academic and non-academic activities and events.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides general IT support in terms of troubleshooting, repair and installations of PCs/laptops and printers for all faculty and staff
- Attends to all requests from faculty members for the use of AV materials in classrooms, distance learning classes and lecture halls, as well as the preview of films
- Installs and operates all multimedia equipment; maintains them to remain in excellent operating condition
- Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on all types of multimedia equipment; ensures that all borrowed equipment is returned on time and in excellent operating condition
- Trains assigned student assistants on the operation and basic repairs of equipment
- Performs regular checkups on smart classroom equipment to keep it in continuous working condition
- Sets up and supports smart classroom equipment
- Checks and reports to Net & Telecom team on recurring or technical problems with installed equipment
- Participates in support and multimedia events during the evenings and weekends, when required
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- TS3 with relevant specialization in Computer
- 2 years of working experience in IT support (multimedia support is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills
- Service excellence and customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work within a diversified team and foster a spirit of cooperation and integrity
