The Supply Office is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor/Senior Warehouse Supervisor to be located in Beirut Campus.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Supervisor/Senior Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the activities pertaining to the inventory and assets. He/she is entrusted with the custody, proper storage and safekeeping of assets and supplies stores. He/she coordinates and supervises the work of attendants, porters, laborers, helpers and movers. He/she reports to the Director of Supply.
- Assume custody of assigned Assets and Supplies stores under his/her jurisdiction
- Ensure proper storage and warehousing of materials in the stores under his/her custody
- Implement administrative procedures for reception, delivery and inventory of goods
- Coordinate with various offices regarding their needs of supplies and ensure timely processing of requests
- Set and monitor minimum stock levels for replenishment purposes, and monitors supplies expiry dates
- Coordinate, assess and supervise the activities of attendants, porters, laborers, helpers and movers, keeping the Director abreast about the smoothness of the operation
Assets
- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate laborers for effective performance of activities, and response to fluctuating workloads
- Collaborate with laborers and service requestors to solve work-related problems
- Inform designated staff and/or departments of items loaded or problems encountered such as missing tags, disposition requirements
- Check destination sites to determine the required number of movers arrange and coordinate the technical support needed with different LAU departments
Supply
- Coordinate the replenishment of stock with the storekeeper and the Director of Supply
- Coordinate the receiving, storing, and distribution of inventory items
- Assist the Director in comparing supplies’ samples during the bidding process
- Check regularly the physical conditions of warehouses, and equipment, and order maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary
- Prepare and maintain work-related records and reports such as laborer times, wages, and receipts
- Implement administrative procedures for reception, delivery and inventory of goods and for moving, disposing, and transferring of assets
- Perform other relevant duties when assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor degree with 5-10 years of experience in a similar capacity, or TS with additional 3 years of relevant experience
- Good communication, organizational and team playing skills
