Position Summary

The Department of Natural Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a full-time position at the rank of Instructor in the field of Dietetics. Candidates must hold an M.S. in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field. In addition to demonstrated excellence in teaching and research, experience as a dietetic preceptor and licensed dietitian status (preferably from the USA or Canada) are also prerequisites. The successful candidate will act as Dietetics Internship Coordinator based at LAUMC-RH and is expected to conduct regular site visits to affiliated hospitals and internship sites. Moreover, the candidate will monitor the students’ placement and performance in different hospitals and internship sites, ensure that the internship meets the competencies and standards, as defined by ACEND and is expected to teach a variety of courses in the field of dietetics.

The Department of Natural Sciences  consists of 29 full-time faculty and a number of part-time faculty. The Department of is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research, and is committed to student-centerdness and to serving the community.
