The Graphic Design Program at the School of Architecture & Design invites applicants for part-time faculty position for Spring 2022, for its Beirut Campus.
Applicants should have teaching experience and demonstrate expertise relevant to the below courses:
GRDE330 Introduction to Typography [2–2, 3 cr.]
This studio course introduces students to the history and principles of typography. Through presentations, demonstrations and projects students will explore the fundamentals of Latin and Arabic typography. This course investigates the anatomy of letters, basics of type design, typographic terminology, history of type and printing, hierarchy of information and layout systems.
GRDE430 Typography III [2–2, 3 cr.]
This advanced level studio course explores the intricacies of typography. It focuses on bilingual typeface design through typographic experimentation. Emphasis is placed upon a thorough understanding of nuances in structure and proportion in relation to Arabic and Latin typefaces.

Candidates should have an MFA or MA in graphic design in addition to teaching experience. This position will be open in Spring 2022, which starts in January 2022.
Candidates should apply electronically by sending a Letter of Intent outlining their particular teaching pedagogy, their CV, in addition to a Teaching Portfolio, with a section on Personal Work. The Portfolio should be in PDF format, with a limit of 15-20 pages.
