My Journey at LAU

Diditta Rizk ’22

My journey with LAU started with getting accepted into the Middle East Partnership Initiative – Tomorrow’s Leaders (MEPI-TL) program, which on its own felt like an achievement.

While at LAU, I was given a lot of opportunities, such as the clubs, those that my scholarship offers and the MEPI-TL Capstone presentation.

I am someone who is a bit shy, and who has had a fair share of challenges, but looking at where I got, I cannot believe that I am the same 17-year-old. I am now strong and independent with a good idea of what I want to achieve in life — all thanks to the experiences and skills I gained at LAU and through the opportunities provided by the MEPI-TL scholarship.

I enjoy mentoring others and sharing my experience with them. That is why I am currently looking into graduate programs in education, hopefully to pursue a career in academia.

Capstone project: Come to Life, an initiative that promotes eco-tourism to raise awareness on the environment through eco-friendly tours and tailor-made workshops.
