Refund Procedure
Withdrawal from Courses:
Students who withdraw from their courses or discontinue attendance after the Drop/Add period are not eligible for a refund.
Right for a Refund:
Students have the right for a refund if there is a credit in their account due to:
- Excess payment
- Additional financial aid, scholarships, or loans granted to students after having paid their tuition (may be refunded subject to the approval of the granting agency, the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office, and the Business Office).
Request for a Refund:
- Graduating students with a credit balance on their account may request a refund by emailing the Business Office of their respective campus:
- Beirut Campus: businessoffice.beirut@lau.edu.lb
- Byblos Campus: businessoffice.byblos@lau.edu.lb
- Non-graduating students with a credit balance on their account will have the balance retained on their student account and applied toward future tuition charges or other eligible university fees.
Exceptional Refund:
In exceptional cases, students may be able to ask for a late drop with a refund by submitting a petition through the student portal. If the petition is approved, the refund will be subject to the “Request for a Refund” provisions.
